It's that time of month once again…  or, it was a week ago at least… for The Expanded Comicverse!  This is our monthly recap, review and in depth discussion about all things Star Wars Comic Books!

My apologies for the delay.  This episode should have been out last week, but "real life" continues to intrude on my Star Wars-ing.

This episode is just Allen Voivod and myself, as our planned guest, Michael Corley, wasn't able to join us.  But don't worry, we hope to have him back next month.

With the closing of another month, that means it's time for The Expanded Comicverse, our show where we like to recap, review and chat about all the newest Star Wars comics from Marvel Comics.

This month we talk about the five titles that hit the shelves in July with Catrina Dennis. Catrina hosts her own podcast about Star Wars comics called The Mos Eisley Comic Port Podcast (as well as having many other cool online projects!). Be sure to check it out!

This month we continue our discussion about Boba Fett, and ask once again, is he the galaxies greatest bounty hunter, or just a guy who got lucky on one job. We also compare Obi-Wan Kenobi to Bat-Man, and try to guess the fate of Janus Kasmir, friend of Kanan Jarrus. Also, we discuss the hobbies of Emperor Palpatine, and Allen and I try to prove ourselves to the gentlemen.

Episode 006 - "Star Wars #6, Darth Vader #6, Princess Leia #4 and Kanan The Last Padawan #3"

Another month comes to a close, and that means it's time for The Expanded Comicverse, our monthly show were we recap, review and go into just a little bit too much detail about all the new Star Wars comic books from Marvel Comics.

This month, Allen and I and joined by Matt Moore, half of the team behind the great new Star Wars comics themed podcast, "Comics with Kenobi".

This time around we ask if Boba Fett isn't the bad-ass we all think he is when we discuss Star Wars #6, we wonder if a father and son can bond through anger when talking about Darth Vader #6, we skirt the line of bad taste (and maybe cross it) when discussing the social issues presenting in Princes Leia #4, and then we try to anticipate whats next for Kanan, when we dive into the third issue of his series.

This month was a lot of fun.  We hope you have a listen, even if you're not reading the current batch of Star Wars comics.  Much of our conversation is about Star Wars themes and characters in general, not just what happens within the pages of these funny books!  Thanks!

Episode 005 - "Star Wars #5, Darth Vader #5, and Kanan The Last Padawan #2" - PLUS A Very Special Bonus Episode!

A new month brings a new episode of The Expanded Comicverse, our monthly show were we recap, review and go a little too deep into the newest Star Wars comics from Marvel!

This month we welcome Mike and Joao from the CantinaCast Podcast (http://www.thecantinacast.net/) as our special guests.  These guys bring a level of "sophistication" to the show like no others!  ;-)  (I'd try to explain that comment, but…  you'll just have to listen!)

Also, this month, we bring you a second, bonus issue!  You see, we recorded our regular episode on Monday the 1st.  Then, on Wednesday the 3rd, a new issue of Star Wars was released.  This issue has a "twist" that is all over social media!   People are talking about it so much, that Allen & I knew we couldn't wait a whole month before discussing!  So, here you go, two episodes at once.  Enjoy!

Alright, it's the beginning of a new month, so that means it is time to talk comics!  This month on The Expanded Comicverse, Allen and I sit down to chat to "Lumberjack" Nick Diak.  Nick, a former guest of on The Expanded Fandomverse, (listen to his episode HERE), asked to join us this month, and since he's such a good guy, who were we to say no?  ;-)

This month we discuss Star Wars #4, Darth Vader #4, Princess Leia #3, and the newest title, Kanan: The Last Padawan #1.  During the course of our conversation we debate what are the most discussing things in the Star Wars Galaxy, we contemplate the greatness that is "The Girl From Ipanema", and we discuss weather or not describing a comic book as "comic booky" is a negative thing or not.

Episode 003 - "Star Wars #3, Darth Vader #3 and Princess Leia #1 & #2"

Here we go with this months review of all the new Star Wars comics from Marvel Comics!  This month, Allen and I are joined by Dennis Keithly, who is a contributor to RetroZap.com.  He provides written reviews of each issue as they come out.  Be sure to check out his great work!

This month we taking on Star Wars #3, Darth Vader #3 and Princess Leia #1 & #2.  In these issues we see the end of the Cymoon I attack in Star Wars, we are introduced to a new and potentially important character in Darth Vader, and we tackle the first two issues of the Princes Leia mini-series.

I have to apologize, I was feeling under the weather as we recorded, and it felt to me that I struggled to complete a coherent thought when we were talking (even more so than normally!).  Luckily Allen was there to keep the energy level up, and Dennis was there with many thoughtful insights.  Thanks for bearing with me!

This month we talk about STAR WARS #2 and DARTH VADER #1 & #2.  As always, I am joined by Allen Voivod from the Star Wars 7x7 podcast, and this month we welcome Matt & Chris from the Star Wars in Character podcast as our special guests!

Besides reviewing this months comics, we also share embarrassing Star Wars-themed thoughts we had from childhood, Allen and Chris try to see who can come up with the most obscure reference when rating each issue, and I ponder just how strong minded a Hutt really is.

Episode 001 - "Star Wars #1"

Hey, Tim here!  Even though I am taking a break from The Expanded Fandomverse, that doesn't mean I am completely stepping away from Star Wars fandom and podcasting!

If you'll remember, at the end of last year, I stated on the show that I wanted to do a monthly review show of the new Marvel Star Wars comics.  Well, here it is, the first episode of this new show!

I am joined by Allen Voivod, former guest of the show and the host of Star Wars 7x7, the daily podcast that brings you seven minutes of Star Wars, seven days a week!  It's a great show, please be sure to check it out!

This month, there is was only one Star Wars comic from Marvel, the million issue selling Star War #1!  Allen and I decided to go through this comic, page by page, nearly panel by panel.  Sure, we get a little long winded, but it was great fun to record, and we hope you have just as much fun listening to it!

Starting next month, we will have guest reviewers joining us.  And, we will try harder to reign ourselves in a little!  ;-)
